Consider a Career in Real Estate

If you like marketing, working with people and negotiating, then a real estate sales career is a great choice! Not only can this career provide you with a flexible work schedule and unlimited earning potential, it will also give you the opportunity to help others in the process.

All Wisconsin real estate professionals are licensed by the state. To get your license, you must first complete the required education and pass the licensing examination.

The Greater Milwaukee Association of REALTORS® (GMAR) encourages potential members to utilize the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association's (WRA) Sales Pre-license Course to obtain a license.

With all of its courses, WRA students receive the best quality education around. The GMAR and WRA want to ensure that any person planning a career in real estate is trained to the highest standards.

To learn more, call the GMAR offices 414-778-4929 or email us.

You may also contact the WRA Business Services Department at educate@wra.org or 800-279-1972; or go to WRA.org/careers for more information.

Once you get your license, then it's time to become a REALTOR® by joining the GMAR.

The term REALTOR® is not a generic one. It is a trademarked term denoting that a member subscribes to a strict Code of Ethics enforced by the Greater Milwaukee Association of REALTORS®, Wisconsin REALTORS® Association and National Association of REALTORS®.

Membership in the GMAR also includes a large contingent of Affiliate members, whose businesses have interests in real estate and who are supportive of the Association and its REALTOR® members.

Membership in the entire organization (at the local, state and national level) is required to become a REALTOR® member.

Become a REALTOR®, join the GMAR.

There are also several GMAR member firms that offer in-house real estate pre-license courses.
